The landfill has a contract with the Coleman Sanitary District to discharge the leachate. The Sanitarian is aware of this and, as I understand it, she believes that if odors are entering the homes through the sewer, there is a problem with the home’s infrastructure. Pasted below is some additional information regarding DNR inquiries. I have had some conversations with an individual in this area and with Webster County Public Health. I see that you have been copied on correspondence dealing with this issue. What has been the IDNR’s work on this issue? Thank you, Stuart C. Schmitz, M.S., P.E. Environmental Toxicologist | Division of Environmental Health | Iowa Department of Public Health DAVID MILLER
