5/28/2013 I sent Laura the email below. Her response came via phone on 5/28 and 9:30am is it is outlined following the email. Laura, In your letter to this office on 5/16 you indicated that all litter outside of the working cell had been removed. Did this include the litter on Lyndall Winter’s property? He called and indicated that to his knowledge no one has picked up the litter on his property. He did not say he saw new litter, just that no one called him to let him know they were picking up the litter on his side. In addition he said that additional sediment has migrated across from the landfill. I know you outlined Aug 1 as the planned date for repairs to be completed, but some temporary measures or other action may need to be taken to keep the sediment on the landfill. What days this week are you available so that we can look at the site together? Laura said that she emailed Mr. Winters to get locations of the litter and has had no response. No action has been taken and the litter still apparently remains. I told her that she or her staff needs to contact him to get the litter on his site removed. Laura said that she might have to have the city's lawyer contact to Mr. Winters. Someone might have to accompany him to identify the litter. Regarding the erosion issues, I will plan to meet Laura on site to observe the areas and identify what temporary controls can be implemented. BRIAN LEE
