5/20/2013	Received a call at 3am Saturday morning from the Madison Co. Emergency Management (Todd Brown) that the landfill was on fire but that the fire dept. put it out and the operator was putting dirt on it. He thought it burned up to a football field long area. He called DNR because of the Iowa City landfill fire last year. Talked with Marcia Beeler (runs the landfill), she said that the Fire Dept. put it out and they were going to put dirt on it to smoother it out anything else. Recommended to her to keep someone on site till they had light to evaluate the site. Called back at 7:30am and she said it appears to be ok and will open for business at 8am. Told her to call if anything pops-up.	JEFF THEOBALD
