5/6/2013 Larry with Rogers Tire Service called on 6MAY13 and stated that he had been told, this morning, that the NCIRSWA Landfill was no longer taking cut tires. I advised him that I had spoken to the new landfill manager just this morning and this was not the case, although the landfill was now going to send them to Liberty Tire in Des Moines and the additional cost would be passed through to the customer. I suggested he explore taking his cut tires to the Boone County Landfill. I then emailed Cindy Turkle and requested that she make sure here Landfill staff are explaining that the tires can still come into the landfill, just that there will be a price increase. DAVID MILLER
