4/17/2013 4/11/2013 ~0745: E-mail assist to Jesse Leckband requesting further information regarding the MOR changes based on separation of production wells from PWS wells. The e-mail read as follows: Jesse, A couple items I noticed based on your e-mail and the schematic you sent. First of all, you mention three wells to be separated from the PWS (public water supply/potable water system) but then go on to say that Wells 103 and 105 will no longer be included on the MORs. I am assuming that you are referring to Wells 106, 103 and 105. Could you clear up one item on the schematic. Is there an RPZ between Well 105 and the PWS wells (Wells 101, 102, and 104). It appears that Wells 106 and 103 are clearly separated from the PWS by an air gap. However, if there is only a check valve between Well 105 and the PWS wells then it seems it should still be included on the MORs. If you want to separate Well 105 from the PWS, there should be an air gap or an RPZ between that well and the PWS wells. Also, could you describe the wash water stations on the lower right portion of the diagram and why they would not need an RPZ. Please send a picture, if possible. I have copied Paul Brandt, the senior specialist in the water supply section for this office as well and he may have additional questions.
