3/12/2012	1325 hrs: Received a call from Pat Colwell, Humboldt County Zoning Administrator. Pat stated that Mike Ludwig had contacted him and inquired as to the required separation distances for his permitted facility expansion. I stated that I thought this odd, as my site survey on 22 NOV 11 had documented that Mike could meet the required separation distances; and Mike had already received his construction permit (issued 30 NOV 11). Pat then explained that Mike had wanted to know what the county zoning distances were, and he (Pat) just wanted to make sure he wasn't missing something on the DNR side. I again explained that, based upon what Mike had stated he was going to do in his construction permit application, the site survey determined he could meet IAC-required separation distances. I stated that, unless Mike had changed his construction plans, etc., such that a separation distance was now compromised, the DNR was satisfied and any zoning issues would have to be resolved between the county and Mike. Pat stated that he would contact Mike and determine exactly what Mike needed to know and why. I stated that if Pat still had any questions after talking with Mike again, he should give me a call.
