12/2/2011 From: Gastineau, Janet [DNR] Sent: Friday, December 02, 2011 10:30 AM To: Lynam, Anne [DNR]; Schwiete, Becky [DNR]; Sievers, Julie [DNR]; Brandt, Paul [DNR]; Jordison, Jerry [DNR] Subject: TOC question I have an operator that believes his TOC for November got mixed up either when he labeled or collected them because treated TOC is nearly twice the raw. I have him checking with the lab on COC and if they reported it wrong or if they can be analyzed again, but in the meantime told him I would see if anyone has dealt with similar and how it gets calculated in RAA for TOC removal. It would be a negative removal…do we just use it and hope for the best for with the other months ratios? I ran some numbers quick and unless December really bombs with removal, the RAA should come out at least +1.0. Take a violation? Thoughts? JANET GASTINEAU
12/2/2011 TOC results for November seem to have gotten reversed--raw 4.9 mg/L and treated 9.2 mg/L. I told him no replacement opportunity since November is over but he could check with the lab on the COC to see if that is the way they were submitted or if the lab made an error in reporting.
