10/4/2011	Spoke with Brent on September 29, 2011. Brent informed me that they were able to render the dead hogs. Fire refuse will be buried. Pits will be pumped out this fall.	DON CUNNINGHAM
9/22/2011	We received a report that there had been a fire at a hog confinement facility in the Pocahontas area. After conversations with Palo Alto and Pocahontas sheriffs offices, it was determined that this was located in Pocahontas Co at this facility. Brent Moens, the listed site contact, stated that the building was a complete loss and that there was a death loss of approximately 1600-1700 175lb hogs. The remaining 700-800 hogs were sold to a cull market and were removed on the afternoon of the 22nd of September 2011. The facility is currently looking into rendering or burial options for the deads.	DON CUNNINGHAM
