Efforts to manually initiate a test to get satisfactory results were unsuccessful. The unit has been placed out of service. • The July MOR will report a FAILURE of this unit on 7/10/2011 with an LRV of 3.446 • Troubleshooting has found that the initial application of air pressure to the membranes is insufficient due to a malfunctioning valve (Valve 3568-1). This malfunctioning valve does not impact the proper application of air to the remaining UF units. Their tests were conducted successfully. • Just for reference, the previous 6 days worth of MIT for UF #1 are as follows: o July 9, 2011: 4.330 LRV o July 8, 2100: 4.330 LRV o July 7, 2011: 4.356 LRV o July 6, 2011: 4.350 LRV o July 5, 2011: 4.272 LRV o July 4, 2011: 4.542 LRV • While I’m confident the problem rests with the systems inability to conduct the proper MIT test (due to malfunctioning valve), we will report an MIT failure on UF #1 for this date.
