5/9/2011 Yes - you can select the Not Detected code if there were no detects for the entire month. If there were any detects during a month and the resample indicated no detect, you would not use the code but would report the values. In that case, for no detect, you would need to report the detection limit of your equipment. For example, if your meter can read down to 0.02 mg/L, you would report < 0.02 with no spaces. See the automatic reply message and also the Instructions for EMORs as our system does not recognize zeros and automatically uploaded 7-Not Reported as an indicator for this column. You need to use an indicator of either 3-Operation Shutdown or 6-Not Required for this column. If you have any questions regarding reporting requirements on the EMORs, please contact either Kate Bason at 515-725-0333 kate.bason@dnr.iowa.gov or Tom Atkinson at 515-725-0371 tomatkinson@dnr.iowa.gov .
