6/30/2010	Wendy Hieb, Sheresh Kumar, and I met with Rebecca Nott et al. of Chamness Technologies to discuss about operating permit changes. They are proposing treating the wastewater as a crop nutrient and to base the land application on plant uptake (like manure). We agreed with the proposal provided it includes soil testing, maintaining a 2 ft. freeboard, testing of the wastewater, land owner agreements, limit on volume applied, precipitation records, emergency plan, and a raw materials list. We would not need to do site surveys of each land application site, under this proposal. I also suggested they construct a wetland area below the storage basins to collect possible overflows.
