2/16/2010	We had a main break today and SIRWA told me they are required to collect special TCR samples for every main break. It happened to be clear out east on a line that feeds SIRWA. Is this correct? I told him SIRWA may have their own SOP for main breaks that requires it. We deal with it on a case by case basis if a system loses pressure during a main break. Brandon said 4-6 homes were without water. They are flushing a blow off and plan to take specials tomorrow. The City's SOP has not been to take special TCR samples. I told him they may want to revisit their SOP if there is a pressure loss/water outage and do so. You can return water to the customers but advise to boil until bacterial samples determine the water is safe to drink. He also told me Herman is now the water superintendent, Brandon is assistant superintendent and Esther is working at city hall now since Steve retired.	JANET GASTINEAU
