2/11/2010	Cedar Rapids Gazette. Discussed the former Bluestem Site #1 (CRLC Solid Waste Agency Site #1 a.k.a. Mount Trashmore) taking the demolition material from the burned out former Wilson Pack buildings (Sinclair Site) in Cedar Rapids. We discussed asbestos handling at landfills and how asbestos is a health concern when airborne as dust, but not so much when it is buried in the ground. We had some discussion regarding potential hazardous chemicals or other waste material that might exist on the site and that it was the contractor's and CRLCSWA's responsibility to monitor these things to make sure that hazardous wastes do not go to the Site #1 landfill.
