Work on the feeder main is done for now. More feeder main work is scheduled for later in the month of November. We may have to recover during that work as well. Water from this facility will be entering the distribution systems of Clive, Waukee, West Des Moines, Urbandale, and Xenia. Our intention is to operate this facility at a rate of 3.0 mgd for one day. Due to construction work on our feeder main system, the LP Moon Pumping station will have reduced water availability tonight. Out of an abundance of caution we’re recovery from this ASR well to ensure adequate water supply. We (DMWW and the above-mentioned consecutive systems) have an obligation to comply with the Ground Water Rule. If you receive water from this facility into a portion of your system and then have a subsequent coliform positive distribution sample, please notify DMWW immediately (regardless of the day of the week). We (DMWW) will need to sample and test the well to comply with the requirements of the Ground Water Rule. Please forward this e-mail to applicable members of your staff.
