3/12/2024 Andrew called and emailed a request for information we ask to see during a landfill inspection. I emailed him the DNR inspection form and records list along with this message:To start out, I'm sending you our inspection form which is fairly comprehensive. The upper portion relates to records and the bottom to the operation. I'm also sending a list of records I usually ask for during an inspection. As a rule of thumb, I usually ask for a year's records. [Stormwater sampling results I'd like to see in the form of a trend analysis over time.] I normally don't ask to see groundwater sampling results as they are sent to the central office and evaluated by the engineer there.P.S., One peculiar thing about MPE is the large shingle pile, which has been present for several years. I know a little has been used/recycled onsite, but I think the argument could be made that it violates the state's speculative accumulation law, which requires 75% turnover annually. Removal of the pile needs to be accelerated.Also, I know it's been windy lately. I happened to drive by MPE yesterday and last week. I saw litter north of Highway 163 on both occasions. Off-site litter is required to be collected daily. We give you a little leeway if it's extraordinarily windy, but we need to see a good faith effort being made to come into compliance. BILL GROSS
