1/17/2024 Alicia and Brandon met with Creston yesterday and Steve Guthrie, GM, reported everything is going fine. However, today Steve sent SIRWA an email (copied Osceola) indicating that SIRWA is up against the departure agreement allotment and if they need more then Creston will not be able to meet that demand. Therefore, SIRWA is going back on Osceola more heavily, which will mean an increase in Osceola's demand of 300-350,000 gpmd. Creston is having capacity issues due to filter media; troubleshooting will commence when SIRWA WTP is fully operational and Creston's demand is reduced. In addition, a heater at the Osceola WTP went down and operators didn't respond quickly enough and the chlorine dioxide feed, which goes through the tool room, froze and broke. Operations switched to permaganate since they can't feed ClO2, but finished manganese is creeping up (0.04 mg/L). This level isn't close to the HA but the public will start to see it, which Brandon wants to avoid. Today they are taking the WTP down and will replumb the ClO2 feed. They had dialed chemical feeds back earlier this month because there was less SIRWA demand, but will have to restore previous settings with SIRWA back to using more Osceola source. Board budget meeting today. JANET GASTINEAU
