11/27/2023	FW: Matthew Ryle shared “Osceola Water Works - West Lake Lower Intake” with you External Inbox Brandon Patterson Tue, Nov 21, 10:48?AM (6 days ago) to me, Emma Janet, I wanted to take a quick moment to provide you an update. The intake raising was completed Sunday evening. I flushed the lower intake Sunday night and pulled some grab samples at that time. The sample data is still consistent with what we had collected before and we can handle the current concentrations of manganese at this level. Based off of the current pool levels, we are planning to switch to the lower intake in the next few weeks. If we have to continue using the lower intake next summer, the manganese levels might pose more of a challenge with the other summer organic loading we experience. We are working with V and K engineering on best options to install a contact chamber for increased contact time, which will better equipped us to handle the water quality at the lower level. V and K is currently looking into the available water supply at Arbor Valley as an emergency source. We hope to have this data soon and depending on the outcome, visit further with the property owners in the area. I Below is a link with some pics and video from the divers.
