10/26/2023	Cory Gallup with Osceola Water Works called me about removing and land-applying the sludge from the lagoons that contain backwash waste. After doing some research (with assistance from Ted Petersen) we determined it is Industrual Sludge and goes under Chapter 121- Land Applicaiton of Wastes. According to Chapter 121 they can land-apply up to two tons per acre and must test for metals using EPA Methods - EPA 6010 & EPA 6020. I confirmed this with the State Hygienic Lab. They refer to these samples from the federal Regulations - 503 Regs. I called Cory back and explained what samples he needed to collect. I emailed him the DNR Fact Sheet - Land Applicatin of Industrual Waste and Chapter 121 - Land Applicaiton of Wastes.	BILL GIBBONS
