5/11/2023	From Mr. Brunken: In summary, five soil samples and one groundwater sample were collected around a non-regulated heating oil UST and piping installed in 1949 at Loring Hospital in Sac City on 4/25/2023 as part of a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment. No hazardous conditions or obvious indications of a release were noted at the time of sampling. Analytical results received by Loess Hills Environmental on 5/10/2023 at 1630hrs indicated TEH-diesel concentration in groundwater (94,100 ug/L) exceeded the IDNR action level of 1,200 ug/L for reporting purposes. Soil results were below IDNR action levels. The UST remains in place and in use but a removal is anticipated. The phone call this morning and email are intended to serve as the official notification to IDNR within 24 hours. A copy of the analytical results is attached and site/contact information listed below. Contacted Mr. Brunken back at 12:11. Advised him to contact Ruth Hummel in the LUST Section for guidance.
