1/9/2023 Jenny called and reported that they had a questionable pH result of 6.4 taken by an operator. The plant was shut down and is now starting up. The only discharge they have right now is cooling water. The online analyzer for their cooling water showed a pH above 8.0 and a grab by a different operator showed the same result above 8.0. I told her to report the 6.4 since it was taken at their normal sample site, but to enter a comment in the comments box regarding the discrepancy with the other results. I told her that 1 pH violation would not warrant a violation letter. JACOB DONAGHY
