12/21/2022 11/4/2022 1322: Email assist to Yusef Setiawan, Operator. Assist Yusef with lead and copper sampling plan. Email is as follows: Thank you Yusef. The NTNC Tier one Categories (from Page 5 of the Lead and Copper Sampling Plan Template) are either: A) Copper pipe with lead solder constructed after 1982 or lead pipes, or B) Lead service Lines So if the sampling sites are Tier 1 then they would need the specific category (A or B) indicated also. If they don't fall into either category then they should be identified as: NTNC Other (Category A or B) as described below: A) Sites that contain copper pipes with lead solder installed before 1983, or B) Use representative sites throughout the system, in which the plumbing materials used at that site would be commonly found at other sites served by the water system. As I indicated previously these are described on Page 5 of the Lead and copper sampling plan template. From you description, the 2" and larger pipes would likely be identified as NTNC Other, Category B. The ones with copper pipes would likely be identified as NTNC Other, Category A, provided the construction of the plumbing was before 1983 and Tier 1 A otherwise. I will note in the sanitary survey that the plan is complete but please make sure to include that information in your lead and copper sampling plan and send me a copy of that information when completed.
