12/5/2022 Tenney standpipe filled and waiting for RTCR results to come back. Approximately 18-20K entered the DS after a main break occurred and leaked past a shutoff valve. Most went through the Urbandale BPS; DMWW notified Urbandale. Caught some through a hydrant right on site. Reminiscent of what happened with the Wilchinski GSR. Also can't get the structure filled to overflow level. Not enough pressure and concerned about additional main breaks. The AWWA standard calls for filling to overflow. Overflow was repaired and used to be lower than it is now. In the future, won't likely be able to reach overflow outlet level either. They're within one foot of overflow.
