10/14/2022 Paul Schmitz (651-438-6418) with Wayne Transports, 14345 Conley Ave. Rose Mount, MN 55068 called to report a 300 gallon Sodium Hypochlorite Spill at ADM Clinton. Hose from the truck to a tank failed during delivery. The 300 gallons was contained in the secondary containment. They used water to dilute it. He wasn't sure what was done with the dilute material. Spoke with Emily Hoeft at ADM this morning and it sounds like the secondary containment in which this release was contained to has a sump that is directed to the facility's wastewater treatment process. So, with that information, we would not consider this incident a Hazardous Condition per 567 IAC 131. Therefore, a 30 day written report is not required. Also not considering it a release under CERCLA 101(22). AARON PICKENS
