9/19/2022 9/8/2022 1539: Email assistance to Bobby Vermilion and Melissa Woods to follow up on the missing total chlorine residual readings. Bob indicated that he only takes them once a week when he responded to my prior email sent at 1507. I responded to him that the Water Supply Operations Permit for the facility requires that the disinfectant residuals (free and total) be taken daily both at the source entry point (or plant) and in the distribution system. I also re-iterated that the total chlorine residuals should, almost always, be higher than the free since the total chlorine residuals are comprised of both the free available chlorine and the chlorine that is bound with other items such as ammonia or bacteria. I had inquired as to wheter they are making sure to be using the correct pillow packets when taking the residuals and that your reagents are not expired? I informed Bob to make sure that he is taking daily total chlorine residual readings and to let me know if he has any questions. I also asked Melissa to copy me on the MORs for the time being so that I can make sure that the residuals are being taken appropriately. JON RYK
