5/2/2022 On thursday, April, 28, 2022 I received a call from Do West with the Des Moines Water Works. He called to let me know both sets of bacteria samples came back with the results of absent of bacteria. BILL GIBBONS
4/27/2022 April 27, 2022 Continued: Repairs to the main were completed Tuesday, April 26, 2022. The affected area was flushed and bacteria samples were collected. They will collect a second set of bacteria samples on April 27, 2022. BILL GIBBONS
4/27/2022 On Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 2:48 PM I received a call from Bryant Stump with the Des Moines Water Works. He called to report a main break that he described as a "blow out" on the 16" main at the Des Moines River Bridge at 2nd Avenue in Des Moines that occurred at 6:00 AM on Monday, April 25, 2022. Even with the break they were able to maintain pressure and there was no contamination that entered the main. The areas affected were as follows: On 2nd Ave. from Franklin Ave. to Birdland Drive, On Birdland Dr. from 2nd Ave. to Saylor Rd., On Saylor Rd. from Birdland Dr. to Guthrie Ave., on Saylor Rd., and on Guthrie Ave. from Saylor Rd. to N.
