They fired the operator and no one is doing the leachate monitoring. Just an FYI because they are probably not submitting anything to Des Moines. Isaiah - this will be a Notice of Violation when you do the compliance reviews for Hardin County. Read Subrule 567 IAC 62.1(6) and check with Jake to ensure you understand what wasn't/should have been done. Thanks ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Miller, David <david.miller@dnr.iowa.gov> Date: Wed, Jan 19, 2022 at 8:25 AM Subject: Rural Iowa Wastewater Pretreatment Violations - Eldora (Alden Wastewater Facility) To: <rusty.eddy1969@gmail.com>, Jacob Donaghy <jacob.donaghy@dnr.iowa.gov>, <aldenwatersupply@gmail.com> Rusty - I know Dan is gone, but someone still needs to send in the Rural Iowa Landfill leachate testing results to the City of Alden Wastewater Facility (and to Des Moines, if you are still going there). They need the quantities on each day and also the periodic testing results. There is also some additional leachate testing that must be done annually. Please have someone connect with Andy Jass (email above) at the City of Alden to resume this monitoring. Failure to conduct leachate testing is a violation of the Iowa Administrative Code. ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Donaghy, Jacob <jacob.donaghy@dnr.iowa.gov> Date: Wed, Jan 12, 2022 at 2:34 PM Subject: Alden - Wastewater DMR Submittal To: <aldenwatersupply@gmail.com>, David Miller <david.miller@dnr.iowa.gov> This message is for Andy Jass. Andy, To summarize our conversation today, if you do not have the monthly sampling results or flow from the Rural Iowa Waste Management Association you will report everything on their tab as "Not Reported" from the dropdown menu in row 15. You still need to submit the DMR by the 15th, and should include a comment that the results were not received. If you receive results from them after you submit, you need to resubmit an amended DMR with their results included and the "Not Reported" removed. You should also include a comment of when the results were received. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, DAVID MILLER
