1/11/2022 I had emailed Aditya last week asking for an update on the cooling system closed loop installation. He called me today. The estimates for closing the loop are now too high and the facility is looking at other options. I recommended contacting the city to see if they could accept the discharge. We discussed the TRC non-compliance and the need to address that. I explained that if they connected to the city, this would eliminate the permit/discharge and get them into compliance. I outlined that the city may need detailed info and there may be a basic charge per month, but the facility already sends sanitary waste to the city's collection system, so it may not be a huge undertaking to connect.
