12/27/2021	David sent a follow-up email on 12/23 stating that the materials will be dried and taken to a landfill for disposal.	BRIAN JERGENSON
12/22/2021	David called to report that USDA staff said 150 cardboard boxes of pig guts needed to be disposed of off the facility property ASAP. David reported that the materials had "turned to liquid" and that their staff was turning over soil in anticipation of land-applying the material at less than 2 ton/acre (Ch. 121) adjacent to Tyson's property. We discussed solid waste land application requirements and I stated the material would have to meet paint filter test to be allowed to apply utilizing Ch. 121. If so it must be applied in accordance with other requirements of Chapter 121, but I didn't think the materials would pass paint filter test; he concurred and said the landfill already had rejected taking the material for the same reason. David also said he didn't have nutrient value info on the materials. I provided David information regarding requirements and a fact sheet for determining how to classify and dispose of these types of materials via email. David's email address is [email protected].
