1/7/2022 I spoke with Eric a few days later who explained he checked with staff and the hardness numbers were correct as a titration is used and the number of drops needed is almost always the same, resulting in the same number when calculated. He also explained that actually no blending takes place, all water leaving the plant is treated. There is one water line that serves another area of the plant which has a separate meter and staff were recording this data as the blending number, but it actually had nothing to do with blending. 11/22/2021 Contacted operator for clarification of MOR data related to the blending and hardness numbers that were being reported. Tom deferred to Eric who stated he would check with facility staff who are trained to perform the monitoring and get back to me. At issue was the blending data seemed incomplete and the hardness had identical levels for each of the past two months. We also discussed that some free chlorine levels were higher than total chlorine levels. They stated they had observed this as well and had recently calibrated the cholorimeter in hopes of resolving the issue. DAVID KNOLL
