11/5/2021	Aaron called with questions about separation distances for a new irrigation well to the earthen manure storage basin on the Karl Fehr property. After discussing the the rule in Chapter 49 office staff that applies to this, it was determined the the separation between the well and basin would be 400' if the basin was built and permitted by the department after 1989 if was built prior to that the separation would have to be 1,000' or Fehr would have to do a perk test on the basin. I called Aaron back and told him what I had found out. During that conversation he told me that it may be a non-issue because he had heard that Fehr may be closing the basin and filling it in. He said he may be calling for more information and thanked me for this information.	DAN BRATRUD
