11/1/2021 10/28/2021 1247: Yusef Setiawan, operator with the Midamerican Louisa Generating Station contacted the field office regarding not being able to get the chemical to use with their HACH equipment for manganese self monitoring. He mentioned that the supplier mentioned they are unsure of delivery date. He wanted to know what he should do if he cannot get the chemical. He even mentioned doing daily certified lab samples for manganese. I informed him that the daily certified lab samples would likely be excessive in both cost and effort and would not give the immediate results as the self monitoring would. He also mentioned that he saw a test strip method for self monitoring on Amazon and asked if that would suffice. I mentioned that if it uses the low range PAN method then it would probably be okay and asked that he send information on it and I would pass it by the FO6 WS personnel. I mentioned that, no matter what, if there is information that is required to be on the MOR but not included on it, that he include an explanation in the comments on the MOR. He said he would send me the information on the test strip method. JON RYK
