7/12/2021 I talked to Nathan today and he will likely stop sending filter backwash to lost planet tomorrow. Cyanotoxin counts are still high on the raccoon but toxins only high that one day. DMR counts and toxins still high. JANET GASTINEAU
7/12/2021 Fleur Lime Dewatering Filtrate External Inbox Casey, Nathan Fri, Jul 9, 8:45 AM (3 days ago) to me Janet, The cyanotoxins in the Raccoon River has come down, but we still have higher cyanobacteria counts in both rivers. I’d like to continue to pump the dewatering filtration to the lost planet over the weekend. We’ll reevaluate on Monday and if the toxins and counts are low we’ll return to normal operation. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. JANET GASTINEAU
7/7/2021 Gastineau, Janet <[email protected]> 9:52 AM (0 minutes ago) to Mark, Anne, James, Corey, Ted, Lori Nathan telephoned late in the day yesterday to report a spike in the Raccoon River for the raw sample collected. They are sending filter effluent with the presed sludge at the Fleur WTP to the lost planet as a result. Not using the Des Moines River because it has ammonia in it right now and the microcystin level has been bouncing between 0.3 and 0.8. Until yesterday the Raccoon River was not detecting any levels, but jumped to 0.7 ug/L. JANET GASTINEAU
