6/7/2021	Wendy, As discussed via telephone. I would like to request a temporary variance on behalf of Essentia Proteins from 6/11/21 until 11/1/21 (or until discontinuance of required water reduction efforts by the city) for the purpose of reuse of final treated wastewater for water of dust control.The City of Harlan is currently experiencing heavy drought conditions resulting in very dry dusty conditions on site along with a need to conserve water at the direct request of the city. We would like to use the same water that is typically used for land application for the purpose of reducing wind blown dust on site rather than fresh potable water from the city water supply. All precautions would be taken to ensure there is no ponding or runoff of the water. The water would also only be applied to gravel drive areas on our own site if allowed to proceed.Please let me know if there is any information or clarification I can provide to help make your determination.
