4/27/2021 my 4/27/21 email response: Your plan to stockpile, grind, reuse (and burn some) tree debris from the August 2020 derecho storm on the ISU campus and surrounding ISU properties in Story and Boone counties is hereby approved. You indicated that all but the activity at Veenker Golf Course has been completed. Ashes from burn sites may be taken to a sanitary landfill (could mix with soil for daily cover), land applied thinly (less than 2 tons/acre) to not harm agronomic quality of the soil (away from waterways), and used in feedlots to dry out soils. This approval only includes tree debris, not construction, demolition, or trade wastes. BILL GROSS
