12/10/2009	Al called and said Myron Hershman is proposing a food waste composting operation at this former PCS landfarming site east of Osceola. He was concerned about the project since Hershman had odor problems at his composting operation near Martensdale several years ago. I briefly discussed composting regulation in Chapter 105, and told him to send me Hershman's plan. Shortly afterwards Al called back and reported that Hershman submittted a permit application to Matt McDonald of the Solid Waste Section. I told Al to use Matt as the DNR contact.	BILL GROSS
