8/25/2020	I talked to Dave Sherwood and then sent him information about requesting a variance for tree debris open burning at landfills. We also discussed storing power poles for possible reuse instead of burying them--for now.	BILL GROSS
8/19/2020	The landfill is getting numerous power poles (many large and quite new. Dave wanted to know what he could do with them. I dissuaded him from burying them. I told him to stockpile them on-site and let people (farmers, county engineer, etc.) take them for use. He mentioned grinding them and I told him that would be the last resort (I told him that dust can be hazardous.).	BILL GROSS
