7/22/2020 Gastineau, Janet <janet.gastineau@dnr.iowa.gov> Attachments 3:04 PM (5 minutes ago) to Erin, Gabe Data attached. We have no record of data collected in 2018. 2015 there were two six month rounds of monitoring. Each of these rounds passed, so the system was moved to two annual rounds of monitoring in 2016 and 2017. I'm not sure why only 5 samples were taken in 2017 or why the permit writer didn't put the system on reduced monitoring (1/3 years) right after the 2017 round, unless it was because there weren't enough samples until they were collected in 2019. Anyway, no monitoring required until 2022. image.png All applications for a construction permit must include the following three items: Schedule 1a (General Information) Schedule 1c (Fee Calculation) Applicable fee Schedule 2a and 2b are used for water mains. The applications can be found at https://www.iowadnr.gov/Environmental-Protection/Water-Quality/Water-Supply-Engineering/Construction-Permits if you scroll about half way down. Construction permits are required for all public water supplies that modify the treatment or distribution system. A modification in the DS would include a change to the pipe material or diameter in use or even a change in depth. Gabe Lee is the lead engineer of distribution system projects. His number is (515) 725-2990 if anyone has specific questions. JANET GASTINEAU
