10/16/2019 Cody called to find out what if anything, he could do to not get a positive bacteria on a repeat sample. He explained the routine sample positive keeps occurring at the same bathroom sink and he is afraid continued sampling will also be positive. He said they have tried to clean the faucet as best as possible but got another positive this month. He asked if we could extend the 24 hr repeat requirement so he could install a completely new faucet. I said that would not be enough justification for delaying the repeat sample. I advised him to again clean the faucet and flush the lines then collect the sample. He was also curious if the samples could somehow be disputed or invalidated. I explained the process for that would be pretty strict and the fact it is a dirty sink would not be a qualifying factor. He said he will take the faucet apart and soak in bleach then flush out before collecting the sample later in the afternoon. He is worried they do not have many sample points and the other options are worse for potential bacteria and he doesn't want to end up having to chlorinate the water. I said he needs to make sure to follow good sampling procedures and hopefully that will solve the issue. DANIEL WATTERSON
