It also looks like this is an inspection from the industrial lagoon rather than the domestic septic system. Can you please confirm? I have attached what I have and that only appears to be the septic permit and industrial permit with compliance schedule. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ From: Miller, David <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Jun 18, 2019 at 1:18 PM Subject: Re: Valero - Lakota, IA To: Kelly Evans <[email protected]> Cc: Lambert, Trenton <[email protected]> Didn't press 2 sided on the scanner, sorry. I have attached their domestic septic permit and industrial npdes permit. They are looking to upgrade their domestic septic system due to it accepts over 1,500 gpd and their industrial system has a compliance schedule. Any information you know or have on these systems would be helpful. In addition, since their domestic septic system is over 1,500 gpd; what is required for permitting of upgrades? Would this follow the typical DNR schedule with facility plan, antidegration alternative analysis, and final plan review/permitting or can it stay through the county. Let me know when you can. Thank you ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ From: Miller, David <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Jun 18, 2019 at 10:40 AM Subject: Fwd: Valero - Lakota, IA To: <[email protected]> Cc: Lambert, Trenton <[email protected]> Kelly - attached is the most recent inspection from 2017. I understand you have their permit and compliance schedule. If the sanitary aspect no longer meets the definition of a "private sewage disposal system" (see excerpt from Chapter 567 IAC 68 below) they need to do the whole work record request process with DNR Wastewater Construction Permitting. Let me know if you need anything else. “Private sewage disposal system” means a system which provides for the treatment or disposal of domestic sewage from four or fewer dwelling units or the equivalent of less than 16 individuals on a continuing basis, including domestic waste, whether residential or nonresidential, but not including industrial waste of any flow rate except as provided for in 567—68.11(455B). “Private sewage disposal system” includes, but is not limited to, septic tanks, holding tanks for waste, chemical toilets, impervious vault toilets and portable toilets.
