5/31/2019 Ms. King called and said they were spending a lot of money an hauling leachate to the Osage wastewater plant. She wondered what her other options were, like using it for irrigation? I explained that it has to go to a wastewater treatment plant and land application is prohibited. If they can find a wastewater plant other than Osage, that would be fine provided they got a new treatment agreement. We discussed long term fixes like putting their own wastewater treatment plant or piping it to the Osage plant. I went over NDPES permitting and also construction permitting and recommended they consult an engineer. I also sent her Rule 567 IAC 113.8 which contains the requirement that leachate must go to a wastewater treatment plant DAVID MILLER
