5/2/2019 At 12:15 hours I received another call from Mr. Colbert stating that they were going to give the product to a farmer near Shenandoah who has 6300 acres to spread it on. He wanted to know what information they needed to provide about this site. I advised him that they should send the same information that they had submitted for the first location. That being; the amount to be applied, identity of the land owner, how many acres would be applied to, and what the application rate in gallons/acre and pounds/acre would be as well as notifying us when it would be applied. 5/2/2019 On 4/23/19 I received an email message from Mr. Gross with all of the information except the application rates. I emailed back requesting this information and received a telephone call from Bill Colbert with Sapp Brothers. He wanted to know what application rate they should use because there would be no crops grown on this ground this year due to the flooding. I suggested that he contact a local COOP to obtain a recommended application rate. JERRY JORDISON
5/2/2019 Call from Mr. Gross, with RDG Engineering and Geoscience, regarding a DEF tank that was inundated by flood water at Sapp Brothers Percival site. The DEF solution contains 32% urea and 68% deionized water and now flood water. He wanted to know what could be done for disposal of the contaminated solution. After conferring with Jessica Montana, FO4 supervisor, we determined that, since this is basically a fertilizer solution, the liquid could be land applied to crop fields at the agronomic rate. I advised Jon to notify the FO of the amount to be applied, identity of the land owner, how many acres would be applied to and what the application rate in gallons/acre and pounds/acre would be as well as notifying us when it would be applied.
