4/5/2019 Josh Wolfe called and said that he had worked at the NCIRSWA Landfill for 8 days until he was let go this week. He stated that the Operations Manager, Rob Anderson, had told him that he had made the DNR “miss” the last two inspections and that concerned Mr. Wolfe. I was unclear what this meant. I advised Mr. Wolfe that I inspect the facility annually, and had done so in 2018, and I also make quarterly visits, and I had last been there in February of this year. This last time Mr. Anderson wasn’t there (I missed him) but I still completed my quarterly visit tasks. I also stated that no facility could make DNR miss an inspection as we schedule the inspections. We agreed that we didn’t know what Mr. Anderson had meant. Mr. Wolfe stated that the silt basins on the east side were full. I responded that this was quite common in the spring and facilities can’t generally muck them out until it dries up. I advised Mr. Wolfe that I would check this during my next visit. DAVID MILLER
