2/11/2019	Dustin called to inquire about performing "clean in place" on the scrubber. This entails adding a de-scaling agent to clean the scrubber while it continues to be operated under normal conditions. Dustin stated he is new at the facility, but was told the DNR has approved this in the past. The cleaning is not expected to affect water flow rate, additive flow rate, or pressure drop. I reviewed the permit and found no mention of restrictions on using cleaning agents. I therefore stated that if all operating limits continue to be met during the cleaning, the activity could take place without providing additional notification.	DAVID KNOLL
