Skip to content Using State of Iowa Mail with screen readers 10 of 7,978 Individual filter effluent turbidity exceedance Inbox x Adams, Mike Attachments Fri, Jan 11, 3:50 PM (3 days ago) to me, Kyle Janet: On January 9th at approximately 4:30pm we performed a turbidimeter verification check on filters 6 and 8 at the Fleur Water Treatment Plant. After the verification was performed the SC200 controller did not come out of the hold outputs setting. Because the controller remained in hold outputs we did not have actual turbidity readings on Scada. This also prevented the turbidimeter from issuing any alarms. Staff noticed the turbidimeters in hold outputs at 8:30am on January 10th. We extracted the turbidity data from the controller and filter # 8 did experience some high turbidity. I have included this data in the email. Filter # 8 did have 2 consecutive readings that exceeded 1.0 NTU. We have our control system specialists researching the option of adding alarms to notify the control center if a controller remains in hold outputs for more than 15 minutes. This should prevent this from happening again. Let me know if we need to do anything more or you need more data.
