I have to run for now and am at Rathbun tomorrow but will look at it more carefully Friday. Per usual, formulate a response internally to ensure maintenance can avoid a similar event in the future. 9/20/2018 Adams, Mike Sep 19, 2018, 3:49 PM (15 hours ago) to me, Kyle, Carter, Jeff Janet, I need to clarify the below email. The turbidity spikes were caused by maintenance staff doing some cleaning near the turbidimeters, not the UF trains. Sorry for the confusion. JANET GASTINEAU

The worker was hosing the piping with finished water. There must have been some unoxidized iron that got through the membranes. The turbidity events were short in duration. UF # 4 did take approximately 18 minutes for the turbidity to return to normal levels. UF train # 2 had a high turbidity reading of 2.25 NTU’s. UF # 4 had a high reading of 0.53 NTU’s. UF’s # 2 and 4 shut down and initiated an MIT. The MIT’s both passed. UF # 2 had an LRV of 4.245 and UF # 4 was 4.054. The turbidity events were short in duration and I don’t anticipate any effect on the finished water turbidity. Let me know if you need more trends or data. JANET GASTINEAU
