8/23/2018	Bill Anderson: I am working w/ Troy Ahrenholtz on a confined cattle feeding building. I am calling to check on his construction status. He brought in a letter with staff action number 128914. Dan Olson: That is his construction authorization letter. Confinements smaller than 500 AUC do have to follow some regulation but do not require authorization from DNR prior to construction. Confinements from 500 to 999 AUC require a construction authorization letter from the local field office but do not require a formal construction permit. Confinements with capacities on 1000 animal units or more require construction permits. Per the letter, Troy Ahrenholtz is authorized to build the facility described in the MMP and CDS that he submitted for review, provided that he starts construction within 1 year.	DAN OLSON
