Onsite Comments

Cause of spill occurred when a manure booster pump had a cap blow off, causing manure to flow from the machine onto the creek bank. Estimated 1000 gallons of manure was spilled. Most made it to Clark Creek. Very few dead fish were found either because they were land applied, the surge of water pushed them through when the berms broke and into the Upper Iowa River, or there just weren’t that many fish.
