Onsite Comments

Lee Wulfekuhle of Delhi, just reported hundreds of dead bluegills and some nicer catfish in Silver Lake, Delhi, IA. DNR- Fisheries investigated the Silver Lake fish kill in Delhi, Delaware Co. on 08/09/04 and believes it was a natural fish kill. Fisheries counted a fair number of bluegills and channel catfish. The aeration system for the lake appears to malfunctioned and stopped operating sometime after to the fish kill. Fisheries may conduct some follow up sampling of the fish population. No work is needed from FO1 at this time.
