Onsite Comments

Kill was caused from an overflow of a clogged line during transfer of hog manure from one site to another. Attime of investigation, investigators felt kill was on-going. They observed many fish visibly stressed or in process of dying. Fish wereseen surfacing, side swimming, or swimming erratically. It was very difficult to get an accurate count of dead fish due to number andfrequency of beaver dams, log jams, water depth and clarity, and complexity of areas where fish accumulated. These were mixed withcorn stalks, sticks, grass, and densely packed leaves from trees loosing leaves.
