Onsite Comments
Fisheries arrived on-site at 2pm conferring with Field Office and began determination of downstreamextent of kill and conducted fish counts. Staff counted and measured all dead fish over a half-mile distance until no dead fish werefound. As staff counted dead fish, they also counted numerous dead mussels and crawdads. Airplanes were actively spraying fields.
Species identifications were possible for all fish carcasses. We identified the following species in the kill extent: BrownTrout, Western Blacknose and Southern Redbelly Dace, White Sucker, Creek Chub, Johnny Darter, Black Bullhead, andStoneroller.
